Clinic aftercare

What skincare should I use after Profhilo?

Keep skincare simple after Profhilo and follow the instructions from your treating clinician. Initially, keep injection sites clean and avoid rubbing or experimenting with new products. Resume gentle cleansing, a tolerated moisturiser and sun protection when your clinician says it is appropriate.

What are Serenova's immediate aftercare instructions?

Our current Profhilo guidance is no make-up for 12 hours, no exercise, heat or facials for 24 hours, and keeping the area clean. Your individual written instructions take priority, including any longer restrictions.

Do not massage raised injection-site bumps unless your clinician specifically tells you to. Small bumps or mild bruising can occur, but do not assume all pain or swelling is routine.

Which skincare steps should I restart first?

Once permitted, use gentle cleansing without rubbing and a moisturiser you already tolerate. Apply sunscreen gently when advised and use shade and protective clothing in the meantime. Do not press or massage products into recently treated areas.

You do not need a new post-procedure kit or a serum marketed as a booster. Comfortable, familiar products are usually a better starting point than a complicated new routine.

When can I restart retinal, acids or vitamin C?

There is no universal restart day for every person or formulation. Ask your clinician, especially if sites are tender or your skin is irritated. Avoid exfoliating acids, retinoids, scrubs and any product that stings until you are advised to resume.

Skincare cannot guarantee, prolong or replace the outcome of an injectable treatment. Separate ordinary moisturising care from claims about changing treatment results.

When should I contact the clinic?

Contact your treating clinician promptly for worsening pain, unusual skin colour changes, increasing redness or warmth, discharge or swelling that concerns you. Seek urgent emergency assessment for visual changes. Call 999 for breathing difficulty or severe allergic symptoms.

This is general skincare information, not personalised aftercare or a way to diagnose a complication. If it differs from your clinician's instructions, follow those instructions and ask them to clarify.

Start with a routine your skin tolerates. Product guidance is not a diagnosis; after a procedure, your treating clinician's instructions always come first.
